It can’t take the crown, however, since it simply doesn’t provide a similar array and extent of CRM-related features as our top choice.

If you want extensive features for no investment, HubSpot is your best option (though you’re likely to need to pay extra down the line). Its robust free plan offers a wide range of functionalities across sales, marketing, and customer service, making it a strong starting point if cost is the determinate factor of your choosing.

What could be simpler about HubSpot?

Despite its user-friendly design, HubSpot’s free plan has limitations like minimal customer support and a file storage cap of five documents, ten custom properties, and just one automated action. Previously you had unlimited user numbers with this plan too, but now that is limited to just two seats per account.

Still, the variety of overarching feature areas is extensive, and this may even present a learning curve for CRM novices or businesses with a much tighter focus on their operations.
